活动 & 俱乐部

每年, Upper School students have the opportunity to participate in choir, 俱乐部, Dayspring and 记得美国® events, 我们的春季音乐剧.

We offer a variety of 俱乐部 every school year.  Examples of 俱乐部 offered in the past have included:

学生会– Student leaders work together to assist in official school events, plan events for the student body

艺术俱乐部 – Students are instructed in different mediums that are of interest to them in a less formal environment. Students are encouraged to enter their wares in the ACSI Fine Arts Festivals. Through our art fair all can view the many talents of our students.

年鉴 – The Torch – Students are taught creativity in layout, 设计, and photography while producing a showpiece of their years at Dayspring. Students use their talents on the computer and behind the camera for this school-wide favorite.

机器人 – Students learning basic coding/programming and built their own robots for competition in this STEM-focused club.

敬拜团队 – Students learn the elements of drawing their peers into worship and praise of our Lord Jesus. They practice different instruments and learn to be in harmony with each other. The heart of the student is what we endeavor to craft for God’s glorification.

学校报纸 – Middle and High school students were invited to become journalists, 记者, and writers to develop a school newsletter that premiered in three editions.

管弦乐 – Students with a passion for stringed instruments practiced and performed together at various Dayspring events.

尤克里里琴 – Students were offered a unique opportunity to develop their singing and playing abilities in this fun and energizing club. Students performed several pieces at the school’s yearly spring concert, much to the delight of the audience.

家庭经济– Students learned to skills such as sewing, cooking, crafts and baking in this club.

大学领导 – Under the direction of our Athletic Director, Mr. Vinson, varsity leadership grew their athletic and leadership abilities. Students assisted with planning and leading the 较低的学校 Field Day activities.

极限飞盘 – High school students enhanced their soccer skills in this valuable and challenging clinic.

排球 – Students enhanced their volleyball skills in this valuable and challenging clinic.

科幻电影 – Students watched science & nature films then discussed evolutionary thought vs. 神创论.

全国荣誉学会 – The 全国荣誉学会 is recognized as the nation’s top organization 设计ed to recognize outstanding high school students. Membership in the NHS is based on four criteria: scholarship, character, leadership, and service. At Dayspring, eligible students may be inducted into the NHS as sophomores, juniors, or seniors. The Dayspring chapter meets on a regular basis, and members 设计 and participate in service activities throughout the school year, including at least one group service activity and one personal service. Students determine the projects in conjunction with the NHS adviser, Mrs. 赫尔利. This year’s projects include a lunchtime forum to prepare high school students for the college SAT, a Christmas card-making project to bless nursing home residents, a dinner for local public servants, including volunteer firefighters, 和更多的!
